 " humble yourself under the might hand of God. that he may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you"

. allow God to shoulder the problem

. put the ball in His court

. the weight of it will fall on Him

HOW THE LORD RESPONDED:

vs.14) God sent a prophet

. God answered the prayer and shouldered the problem

. the battle is not mine but God's

. Jeremiah 33:2-3" all unto Me and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things with you did not know."

" psalm 143:8 " Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning for i trust in you. teach me the way i should walk. for to you i lift up my soul."

.david wasnt doubting God's voice but he was admitting he didnt always hear it

. entering prayer is entering a spiritual battle

. persevere in prayer

. ask! ... seek!... knock!

.Be persistent, God is not always on our timeline

4. Lord GIVE ME A STRATEGY!

. vs.17) " you need not fight in this battle, position yourself. Stand and see the salvation of the Lord who is with you."

*** before i read this i asked God to show me whether or not to get rid of my feelings. it would be so easy for me to ask the Lord to take them away. But God said, Allison " stand! dont withdrawal, dont flip out,position yourself. stand and See!

. The Lord will fight for you WHILE YOU KEEP SILENT.

. joshua 23- " cling to the Lord as you have done to this day."

. submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you

.draw near to God and HE will draw near to you

.jehosaphat sent a worship team into battle first and the ammorites ended up killing each other

.those who are willing to praise the Lord in adversity are the most potent.

.vs.22)  " when they began to praise the Lord, He sent an ambush."

. we are a people called to praise. it confuses the devil. 

. there is a victory that is one in praise.

5. God provided Bountifully

. spoil: God did more that jeho could ever expected. it would have been enough just to survive the battle.

.now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what i could ask or think..

. mary and martha wanted a healing for Lazarus but God wanted a resurection.

. to remake what once was and make it more beautiful than before.

. so the kingdom was at peace. the Lord gave them rest on all sides.
