The recording process has begun, and has gone smashingly so far. I spent a good chunk of yesterday reconstructing a song, and then recording it.

Nick is awesome and is super patient with me. And lets me explain all of my weird reasons why i think we should or should not record the song in that particular way. I'm kind of a handful! But God is good and so we press on.. :) All in all it was a great session. Hot green tea, apples, candle light for ambiance, and making music. AWESOME!!!!

Oh Me Oh My! It's that time of year again. The time of year in which February fifth draws nigh. I've been planning and planning and feel like i have almost gotten nowhere. I have ideas. Ideas I do have. Now to make my ideas a reality. I'm off!

I have found the one I love

After years and years and years of searching, well, my whole life really, I have found the one my soul loves. Yes! I have found what my soul loves. Jo Malone. Well, not her really but the lovely fragrance she has created especially for me!

I love the idea of a fragrance but am so sensitive to scents that i have never been able to truly enjoy life with a fragrance other than my own. But today was the day.

I was walking through South Coast Plaza picking a foundation up from Sephora and trying to find a hair clip for a mother of one of a groom in an up coming wedding this saturday, and I decided to actually walk into Jo Malone instead of walk by it. The sales lady was super helpful and after about 10 min or so, we had found it. It was a tall order but we did it!

The only downside is that they only sell this bottle in a tall size, meaning, 125 dollars out of my infant size pockets. I have since justified it by saying, I have been saving my whole life for this scent (since i mostly end up returning or not even purchasing a fragrance).

welp... It's officially a new year and we are still here. I was blessed so much tonight hanging out with some friends at my brother's house. what did you do for new years?

I love that. My times are in Your hand. whoo... and what a hand it is... my mind can't even wrap itself around that. Our God is a Big God! May that stay with you this new year. Our time is in God's hand.

Christmas is pretty much over and i have no photos as of yet to show for it. photos? yes. chord to upload? No! man o man I am slacking... one day i will have a batch of photos and everyone will hate me for posting so much but today is sadly not that day.

Is there anywhere i can get a big ole mission accomplished banner?!!!

So at work I am only allowed to wear black, white, or grey. It's been somewhat of a challenge coming up with an outfit with these three colors and i definitely need to add more to my wardrobe. Since my first paycheck is pretty much all going towards paying my ticket, I have had to try and be more creative with my wardrobe, as i must hold off for a little longer on buying new items. Another problem i am facing is adding color in little amounts as to get away with it at work. Yesterday i resorted to a green and blue feather headband and red lipstick. I have been trying to blend in somewhat so as to not overly draw attention to myself- they're not ready for my mohawk yet. Stepping into work with red lipstick was a big step. I'm starting to get more comfortable there and more familiar with everything and everyone. The day was a success!

My mom is sooo cute. For some reason the WORD document on our computer has vanished. I have no way of typing up anything even if I wanted to-which isn't too often, but today I need it. I have to type out lyrics for the CD release tonight just in case I forget the words. don't want to forget- that would be baaaaaddddd!!!!! Anyway, I woke up to find an EXCEL work sheet ( I hate excel!- the lines are irritating )opened on my computer with this little note written on it. so cute.

first day on the Job

Yesterday I started a new job at a salon here in Tustin. Praise God for being our provider! Before I went off to work I read psalm 16 which if I do say so myself, is AWESOME!!!!! God is soooo good, and He reminded me of that fact yesterday. - My goodness is nothing apart from Him... It's in His presence that I find fullness of Joy and pleasures forevermore- not in a job, not in man, but at His feet. Hope this Psalm blesses you as much as it does me!

Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

O my soul, you have said to the Lord,

"You are my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You."

As for the saints who are on the earth,

" They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight."

Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;

their drink offerings of blood i will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips.

O Lord, You are my portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.

I've been spending a lot of time at the Lord's feet- A good place to be. God has been teaching me things, hard things. One of the things He has been putting on my heart and has spoken to me about several times is that I am to step back from leading worship for a time. This may come as a shock to some, probably most, but at the end of the day obedience is all that matters.

I have had to say good bye to a lot but I know that the Lord is good, and that He has good things for me. So to Scott, Jake, Chris, Chance, Kevin, and John, I have loved ministering along side of you- playing music, talking about the Lord and our second service starbucks runs. I love you all.
