just some of the many Birthday crafts

  • Originally, i wanted to have a big vase/pot with a bubble machine inside of it as my center piece. bubbles everywhere was the idea. To no avail. My dad, however, being the brilliant man that he is, suggested we put dry ice in some tea pots. I took the idea and ran, and then i kept running. anything that had water in it was smoking with dry ice. AMAZING!!!
  • I also made feather necklaces for the ladies to enjoy and take home as a souvenir
  • The apothecary jar picture frame was a big success. laminated picture plus a jar, food coloring, and water equals magnification.

Setting up

twas a semi stressful set up, but i would definitely do it again in a heart beat. I absolutely LOVE planning parties and seeing the hard work pay off. I had a couple people on my side watching my back and helping set up. a couple shout outs: mother, for bringing everything i forgot. father, for helping my dreams and crafts really come true. maggie, for lending her fingers to me in order to make some more purple leaves for my trees. Natalie, for bringing equipment, setting up the camera equipment, and for being the love behind the pictures that will hopefully come soon. Robert, for coming up with gigantic wall flower ideas. Rachel, for letting me use her club house and helping me set up. Louie and Dad, for being my continual Dry Ice guys. And an over all blanket of thanks to everyone along the way for putting up with me while i have been crafting and setting up and stressed.

Birthday party BEFORE & AFTERS

The whole idea of the party started with the "Mad Hatter Tea Party" from Alice in Wonderland. I really just wanted to sit down with my closest friends to fellowship and what better way to do that then to sit and eat! It was whimsical, and colorful, accompanied with some antique delicate hints. All in all, SUCCESS!

Youth Workers recap

confrontational topics! the rave card didn't really say to throw away your purity ring. I added that for color. Dan and Nicole leitz have a ministry in which they approach purity conferences in a new way. Most effective!
scrabble before evening sessions...
Probably waiting to ditch dinner with friends or just after dinner. hmm.. not sure
Practice makes perfect! Andrew, Louis and I practicing a set in which we would lead worship for joyful life, a ministry at calvary chapel costa mesa. Jeff tagged along. everyone likes to make music

The wind, rain, and hopefully no pneumonia.

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand" - deut. 28:12

Me, my heart and my head

previously I had not been a fan of processes. I hate waiting. But now I think I'm starting to see the beauty of "the process". Psalms says not to fret. It only causes harm.
